In this excerpt, Wiesel describes how his fellow inmates at Auschwitz behaved in the barracks.

excerpt from Night by Elie Wiesel

Some of the men spoke of God: His mysterious ways, the sins of the Jewish people, and the redemption to come. As for me, I had ceased to pray. I concurred with Job! I was not denying His existence, but I doubted His absolute justice.

What does this excerpt imply about Wiesel?

He longs to believe in God as he once did.

His faith in God has been deeply shaken by his experiences.

He considers his fellow inmates to be naive and foolish.

His religion is more important to him now than ever before.

Answers

His faith in God was shaken by this experience. What he's saying in that paragraph is "I believe God exists but why does he let us suffer?" Due to this he stopped praying. He didn't think there was any point if God didn't help. He'd lost faith in a merciful God.

Answer:

His Faith in God has been deeply shaken by his experiences

Explanation:

when he says he ceased to pray its implies he doesn't believe in god but when he said he was not denying his existence but his absolute justice, I believe it means he had been wronged for no reason and eh blames god for it, for if god was truly omnipotent he could have stopped it. but this is jusat my interpretation, I haven't read the book so if anything you should compare with other answers, if they are like this one then this is correct

3. How do you think Saeng’s family will react to her not passing her driving test and not being the driver for the family? Use text evidence and the response should be about a paragraph in length.

4. What do you think will happen next in the story? Will Saeng eventually get her driver’s license? Explain why you think the way you do. Use text evidence and the response should be about a paragraph in length.

every answer must be 1 PARAGRAPH OR MORE. no random links or files.

Answers

Answer:

I predict that Saeng will not pass the test based on the characteristics of the driving instructor who did not seem impressed by her performance. To answer this question, I am putting myself in Saeng's shoes to imagine how I would feel and what lesson I would learn based on what she is going through. In her shoes, I would have learned to not overthink small or minor situations like such because it can impact your performance as we have seen Saeng do. I believe that Saeng's family would be moderately disappointed but we can only hope that they will understand the pressure of the test and how scary it could be for someone who overthinks more than the average person. I believe the events that will later take place in the story would be that Saeng studies more and more for the next time she takes the test and observes what she could have done to prevent the mistakes that took place during the previous test. Some mistakes that we have observed would be based around Saeng's mental state like anxiety, paranoia, and overthinking. Hope I was able to help <3

Edit - I believe that with the right amount of determination and dedication Saeng will eventually get her driver's license, not everyone gets it on the first try and it's absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. I think the way I do because this same scenario has happened to so many people including my brother who didn't get his license the first time he took the test but after studying his butt off and getting in the right mindset needed for this specific test he passed just fine. Hope I was able to help again <3

What is Frosted Sugar?

Powdered sugar or confectioners' sugar is also known as icing sugar. Although it is less frequently known by that term in the United States, it makes sense given how well icing, powdered, or confectioners' sugar works for producing icings, frostings, and fillings, like the filling in my recipe for Homemade Oatmeal Cream Pie.

White sugar is powdered very finely for icing. It is powdered, and commercial types frequently contain small amounts of cornflour (cornstarch) or another anti-caking agent to prevent clumping. This sugar immediately dissolves and is used in meringues, basic buttercreams, and glace icings.

Read this excerpt from “The Passing” and answer the question.

Joe Willow’s mother, Fannie, was a short, round woman with mottled brown skin and a high shiny forehead that wrinkled when she laughed. Jimmy Bear was her second husband, and they used to pass our house often on their way to town. They had once driven an old Dodge, but it no longer ran, and it now sat lopsided and windowless among the weeds beside their lane. Jimmy Bear was a skinny man, but he had a round, protruding belly and wore his belt under it so it looked as if he carried a basketball inside. He had gaps in his teeth and a rough, guttural laugh and walked with a shuffle.

What is the author most likely trying to convey about Joe Willow through the description of his mother and stepfather? Select all that apply.

Later, at home, I told my mom about my day, and how strict some of my teachers were. My mom said “Don’t worry about those teachers, once you grow up, you won’t have to see them again.”. Then she just went on and on about her childhood, and how it was just like mine. A few hours later, we got takeout for dinner, I got the steak, I think there was a little too much salt in it, so it didn’t taste that good.
