Seems like someone is struggling with depression, as they state that -really nothing can make them leave their room. My claim is reinforced by the way this person describes their saroiudings. They also state "My thoughts knock over mountains to find their way back to me. It is slow going, too slow, and I fear that they will never return" as in this person is losing hope.
