Do parents have different rules, standards or hopes for their sons than for their daughters? Why or why not, give an example.

Answers

Answer:

Yes, they do! Most parents are more concerned about their son's education than for their daughter's. Whilst parents may not intend to treat sons and daughters differently, research shows that they do. Sons appear to get preferential treatment in that they receive more helpful praise, more time is invested in them, and their abilities are often thought of in higher regard. They also provide better nutrition and medical care for boys than girls, and indulge in a host of other practices that discriminate against girls. Even in this day and age, families openly celebrate the birth of a son, while the birth of a daughter is not always greeted in the same manner.

Explanation:

Answer:

I'm guessing they do, I'm a girl but this is my opinion, lets get started ;)

STANDARDS FOR MEN:

For men, the standard that most parents put on them are things such as: Being tough (no crying), protecting girls from danger, as well as they have more freedom in general (in a non sexist way). Men tend to have more freedom then women because scientifically and logically, men are more likely to have more defense skills and usually the danger isn't aimed towards them.

RULES FOR MEN:

Usually the rules for men that their parents have set are pretty simple and straightforward. For example, curfew at 11:30pm, no disrespecting your parents, (or elders in general).

HOPES:

The hopes that parents have for their son are very similar to what they hope for their daughters. For example, many parents would like their sons to be financially stable, have a family (so they can have grandkids which I know a lot of parents that want this), and this kind of connects to the first reason, but if your a doctor, that is like a dream come true for parents.

SIMULARITIES BETWEEN SON AND DAUGHTER RULES:

Both are most likely expected to have good grades, clean the house, be respectful, have a good job etc.

STANDARDS FOR GIRLS:

Majority of parents expect their daughters to be physically in shape, have good grades, become a mom when they are settled (if they want), be respectful etc.

RULES FOR GIRLS:

The rules for girls *daughters* seem to be unlimited (in my opinion lol). For example, curfew is cut shorter, (instead of 11:30pm it would be 11pm), in general parents will be more worried for their daughter about coming home late because more than most likely, girls are more targeted which I mentioned above. So to tie it all up, girls tend to have more rules then guys which can be unfair, but at the end day, its for the safety of their kids.

Taiwan's tea production date back to the early eighteenth century; the countryis now known for its oolong, black, and green teas

Answers

Explanation:

Date should be changed to dates

Taiwan's tea production dates back to the early eighteenth century; the country is now known for its oolong, black, and green teas. The error is date.

What do you mean by the subject-verb agreement?

A subject and its verb must be both singular or plural in order for there to be subject-verb agreement: A singular verb needs a singular subject. A plural verb needs a plural subject.

This makes your work easier to read and assists your reader in understanding who or what is doing in a particular way. First, determine the subject (the thing or person performing the action) and the verb (the word that performs the action) in a sentence.

Verbs and subjects must have the same number (singular or plural).

Therefore, Taiwan's tea production dates back to the early eighteenth century; the country is now known for its oolong, black, and green teas. The error is date.

Why does Dixie Walker tell Jackie Robinson that he owes him an apology?

Answers

Answer:

Dixie Walker was opposed to Jackie Robinson or any other African American playing in the Major Leagues. He would later admit that this was not due to personal animosity, but rather to parental pressure, as he was concerned that playing with a black player would jeopardize his business. Others thought Walker's racism was far more virulent.

he started a protest so that Robinson would removed from the roster some rumors even say he went as far to start a petition

he well deserved an apology after this yet never got one.
