HURRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY THIS IS TIMED
I hung around in the new neighborhood enjoying the sight of green trees, big whitewashed houses, and well-kept lawns where geraniums and roses of different shades were in full bloom. It had been three days since we moved to Cameron County from Reynosa, and I was eager to explore the neighborhood.
2 As I lingered on the sidewalk at the far end of the block, I noticed a house that had the neatest and the best-kept lawn I had ever seen. The lawn looked like one of those paintings by an artist who puts a lot of time and effort into his work of art. I started to turn around and leave when I heard something that sounded like a bark.
3 The gates were slightly open, and I could see the house and its conspicuous front yard with blooming flowers of different colors. For a fleeting moment, I was tempted to pluck one, but they looked so perfect that I decided to bend down and take a whiff of the sweet fragrance.
4 As I was enjoying the view laid out in front of me, a deep voice interrupted my thoughts.
5 "Aren't they lovely?" he said.
6 I turned around to find a middle-aged man, probably in his late fifties. "I planted these beauties with my own hands," he added in his proud and merry voice.
7 "Hi, my name is Ethan," I introduced myself.
8 "Nice to meet you, Ethan! I'm Jacob," he said.
9 When I told him that his garden had the best flowers in the neighborhood, his eyes twinkled, and a big grin spread across his face. I told him that I lived a few blocks away, and when I asked him about his family, he said they were on vacation. He could not leave the house, as he had a pet and a garden to look after.
10 "This garden, its flowers, and the sparrows that chirp all day long on the trees in my backyard are my friends and family for now," he said and winked. "Would you like to take one of my best roses home?" he asked.
11 "But they are so beautiful, and you worked so hard to make your garden look so appealing," I replied.
12 "If my flowers make you happy, I'll gladly gift you one," he said and smiled.
13 I was surprised and inspired by Jacob's passion for gardening and vigor for life. I headed home with a beautiful rose in my hand and a fresh zeal that my new friend had instilled in me.

1. Who is Bryan's favorite comic book hero? Why is Mike so adamant that
Luke Cage is the best? What does Bryan and Mike's discussion illustrate
about their dynamic?

Answers

1. Bryan's favorite comic book hero is Spider Man because Spider Man mirrors Bryan's life perspective (a soft man) unlike Luke Cage.

2. Mike is so adamant that Luke Cage (a more violent superhuman hero) is the best because Luke Cage does not represent the soft men that Mike so much disapproves.

3. Bryan and Mike's discussion illustrates that they are operating on different life dynamics.

In Torrey Maldonado's "Tight," Bryan and Mike are not swimming in the same direction as dictated by society.  Bryan possesses interior richness and favors thoughtful and peaceful reflection and quiet demeanor while Mike advocates more dramatic and riskier behaviors to show off his manliness.

Thus, despite their common background, Bryan and Mike have different perspectives on life, which they richly express by their dominating preferences, thoughts, and actions.

What is an idiom?

An idiom is a group of words in a language that has a figurative meaning that is different from its literal meaning.

In other words, an idiom is a phrase or expression that does not necessarily make sense if you take it literally, but instead is used to convey a particular idea or feeling. Idioms are commonly used in everyday language and often have cultural significance.

Examples of idioms include "it's raining cats and dogs" (meaning it's raining heavily), "break a leg" (meaning good luck), and "kick the bucket" (meaning to die).

In this case, this idiom suggests that it is better to deal with problems as they arise, rather than worrying about them in advance. It also implies that it is better to focus on the task at hand, rather than getting sidetracked by potential future issues.

Q.One of Josephine's contact lenses fell out of her eye.

Answer:

Josephine's contact lenses=》SUBJECT

FELL OUT OF =》COMPLETE VERB

The subject in the sentence is "Josephine's contact lenses" and the complete verb is "Fell out of".

What is Verb?

A verb is a term that denotes a mental or physical activity, such as "think" or "drive," or a state of being, such as "exist."

The part of a sentence that tells us who or what the statement is about is called the subject. The portion of a sentence with a verb, known as the predicate, describes what the subject is doing. Sentences can have either simple or complete subjects. Only the primary word or words that carry out the verb serve as a simple subject.

Verbs are classified into four types: intransitive, transitive, linking, and passive. Passive verbs are in the passive voice, while intransitive and transitive verbs are in the active voice.

Therefore, "Josephine's contact lenses" is the sentence's subject, and the complete verb is "fell out of."

Answers

Answer:

See explanation for answer.

Explanation:

Dear Dad, before I say anything I want you to know that the decision that you make is completely your choice, and whatever you choose, even if I do solemnly believe it is the wrong choice, I will obey it. I am quite aware that the school I currently attend has raised their fees and I am prepared to in this letter tell you why you should let me stay and not make me transfer. My number one compelling reason as to why I should stay at this school is because of my social relationships and status. If I wear to transfer schools it would take a long time to get up to that same point and make new friends. My second argument as to why I should get to stay at this school is because I am comfortable with my current environment here. I know all my teachers and classmates which makes going here a very enjoyable experience. My third and final reason as to why I should stay here is because of my current curriculum and the learning programs they have here. These programs help me succeed academically. So, in conclusion, dad, please let me stay here. I do believe it is the right choice to let me stay here. I love you, your daughter/son.
