BY EMILY DICKINSON

IF CORRECT YOU GET A BRAINLIY

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:

A narrow Fellow in the Grass is the most brilliant poem I have ever read because it talks about an exploration of fear by using a snake as the  catalyst for that fear. "A narrow Fellow in the Grass Occasionally rides -" This shows an emotion that exists in balance with comfort, as is suggested by the characterization the fearful snake as a “fellow.

This question is based of a specific paragraph, can you copy and paste the paragraph so I can answer your question?

With that being said lets see what our options are.

I believe the correct answer is D. Take this with a grain of salt because I do not know the intercept.

My reasoning: The sentence indicates or is teaching, sometimes you have to go for it, you have to “jump in and get wet”. For example “you have to get your hands dirty in life”.

Side Note: I hope this helps feel free to let me know if you have any other questions :)

Identify the question that writers would not ask themselves when revising for organization.

A.
Is the organizational method the best one for this paragraph?

C.
Are any of the supporting sentences irrelevant to the controlling idea?

D.
Is the organizational method consistent throughout the paragraph?

Look for a question that would help a writer revise for unity, development, or coherence, rather than for organization.

1. How do adults in your school or community address bullying? Have you seen adults look the other way? What kind of interventions have you seen adults use to prevent or stop bullying?

2. How do you define cyberbullying? How is it different from traditional bullying?

Answers

A lot of adults around me don’t do much for bullying. They are alway looking the other way and ignoring kids. A lot of people around me have to get there family together and come to the school.

How I define cyber bullying different then traditional bullying is that people can’t see the harm they are doing through a screen and feel they can say whatever they want without consequences.
In my community, adults address bullying by speaking to both the bully, and the one being bullied, directly. They try to see both sides of the story, and resolve the problem quickly. I have seen adults multiple times ignore issues. This only leads to furthering issues and making it more difficult for both children later on in life. Interventions I have seen are time-outs, time away from play, and talking about how bullying is bad. Although, the time away from play tactic never seems to work out well, as most kids bully because they need something to do. Rather than taking anger and energy out on a person, I think it would be much more beneficial to take it out on physical activity.

I define cyber bullying as a way from bullies to bully without much repercussion. It’s different from traditional bullying because it’s behind a screen, they’re hidden, and can’t really be held accountable for their actions.

At what point in the writing process can writers engage in prewriting?

A.
only after they have an idea
B.
anytime they want to develop more ideas
C.
only before they begin drafting

Answers

Answer:

I would most likely go with C - ONLY BEFORE THEY BEGIN DRAFTING!

Explanation:

Answer:

B. Anytime they want to develop more ideas

Explanation:

I say this because you don't have to have any ideas(a), you can free-write and get something down, and this also takes out (c) because you can free-write, and while prewriting you can make up topics, plots, settings, characters, etc. and brainstorming random things to incorporate into your writing because prewriting is what you do before anything else. It's like finding the equation in math word problems. You have to find the equation in order to find the answer.

Why should you be cautious about learning all the facts about a historical event from historical fiction? Select all that apply.

Because the story is fiction, the author may inject his or her beliefs about a historical event.

Because historical fiction is about fictional people, you cannot believe anything they think or believe.

Historical fiction provides all the facts about a historical event, but it doesn’t help you determine what is true.

Historical fiction may leave out important details about the event to make the story more interesting.

Answers

Answer: Because the story is fiction, the author may inject his or her beliefs about a historical event.

Explanation: In a historical fiction story, the author takes an important event and applies their viewpoint, characters, and imagery that would have otherwise not existed in a strictly historical nonfiction piece.

Explanation:

The Wolves Among Us".

Beagles, greyhounds, German shepherds, and even tiny toy poodles are all related to the same majestic wild animal, the wolf. In fact, all domestic dogs are descended from wolves. There are several species of wolf, including the gray wolf, the arctic wolf, the red wolf, the white wolf, and the Mexican wolf. Wolves are some of the most widespread mammals. Populations of wolves exist in almost as many places around the globe as humans do.

Wolves are exceptional pack hunters. This is why they are able to take down large prey such as moose or deer by working together as a seamless team. Wolf pups as young as eight months old begin helping on the hunt. Wolves can reach speeds of up to 40 miles per hour when chasing prey, and their thick, double-coated fur enables them to keep warm in even the coldest arctic temperatures. Their large, powerful paws can reach up to 5 inches across and help to propel them quickly across the snow.

Next time you're playing fetch with your furry friend, think about its ancestor, the wolf. That terrier or pug might only be able to take down a ball or a bone, but it gained its instincts to chase and hunt from those greatest of hunters, the wolves.

Read the article "The Necessity of Hybrids".

What do you get if you cross two different species? Depending upon the species, you might end up with a grolar bear, a wolfdog, or a Savannah cat, among many others. What do these animals have in common? They're hybrids. Sometimes hybrids happen naturally in the wild, but usually, hybrids are the result of humans selectively breeding animals.

Grolar bears and pizzlies are the result of crossing polar bears and grizzly bears. These hybrids were first seen in zoos, as the bears' natural habitats did not normally overlap. Recently, these hybrids have started appearing in the wild. Due to climate change, the bears' once-separate habitats are beginning to overlap. Bigger and more aggressive than their parents, grolar bears and pizzlies could pose a risk to natural habitats and humans.

Wolfdogs are, as their name suggests, the result of crossing a wolf with a domestic dog. Bred for the pet trade, these hybrids do not often happen in the wild. Wolfdogs do not make good pets, however, as they can be destructive and aggressive. Many states have outlawed keeping wolfdogs because they can pose a danger to people.

Savannah cats are another example of human-made hybrids that were developed to be pets. Savannahs are the result of crossing a small wildcat called a serval with a domestic housecat. They look like miniature versions of the wildcat, which is why many people like keeping them as pets. Like the wolfdog, however, Savannahs do not make ideal house pets. They can be destructive, and usually, they keep the wild nature of the serval.

There are many more examples of human-made hybrid animals. Some hybrids, such as the mule, have been helpful to humans. Unfortunately, others, like the wolfdog or Savannah cat, should not have been made in the first place.

How is the overall structure of "The Wolves Among Us" similar to the structure of "The Necessity of Hybrids"?

A)Both articles use the cause and effect text structure.

B)Both articles use the chronological text structure.

C)Both articles use the compare and contrast text structure.

D)Both articles use the problem and solution text structure.
